Snow in July...kind of

I bought the kids a Fun and Foam Factory. This is the coolest thing. It is regularly $99, and I got mine at KB toys for $27. Natalia is afraid of the sprinkler, and Wyatt just wants to step on it to make the water spray. This was the perfect solution, because they both want to play in all that foam. Wyatt is constantly trying to put the biggest pile of suds on Natalia's head, and she loves running from him. It was a little windy while we were playing, a few times a big gust of wind come through and pick up tons of the foam and fill the air with it. The kids thought it was hilarious. I also got them two water guns, that have a continuous spray....I don't have pictures of that....because I was too busy spraying THEM! =) Wyatt did his fair share of soaking me, even though I kept saying "don't spray me, I'm not in my swimming suit." One good thing...he couldn't figure out how to pump his own gun for the first few minutes! It was a good day.

Wyatt sneaking up to give Natalia a bubble hat....while she was trying to climb the lamp post!

Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me.......

A few beach pictures

We went to the beach on Monday evening. Natalia is usually afraid of the water, but this time she got right in....even though she was still wearing her DRESS! =) The water was so warm!

Lincoln bought the kids "pocket kites" on one of his trips and we flew those.
Throwing sand...under the life guard chair.

Wyatt hated this....
Talia LOVED it!

Running from a wave. =)

Happy 8th Anniversary to us!

Lincoln took a few days off of work, and we have been taking a vacation here in Maryland. We went to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and berry (and beet) picking too. We are still making plans for tomorrow...we may go to DC if it isn't hot.

It was so hot while we were berry picking, too hot. We didn't stay long. We started picking blueberries, and I didn't tell Natalia that you could eat them....we picked and picked, and then I heard her say "ummmmm." She figured out that they were blueberries! She was eating them by the handfuls.

Then we went and picked a few beets. Wyatt picked the "monster beet" and for dinner he actually ate it too

Finally we went to get some raspberries. They were just about gone, but we found a few. Natalia picked a few, but just ate them.

Here are some of the blueberry muffins, I made the next morning. We had cobbler for dessert tonight. Yum.

Before I forget...

The kids have been so funny the last few days. I wanted to write it down (er, type)..before I forget it all.

I woke up this morning, and had to get ready quick. I had an early hair appointment. I was talking to Wyatt, and mentioned that I was going to get my hair colored. (Truthfully...I said something to him, because I didn't want to walk in the door and have him say..."Mom, what happened to your hair." or something like that.) I asked him what color would be good on me, and he said "how about rainbow?" I tried not to laugh.
"I wouldn't look good with rainbow hair, any other ideas?"
Wyatt said "how about gray?" (I was dying!!!)
I said, "no, do you want me to look like a grandma?" (no offense grandmas)
Wyatt said "okay, how about White?" (huh???)
Then he proceeds to jump off the bed and comes back with his cats. (Yes, North and North pole)
Then he says "you could do white, and gray...then you would match my cats."
I don't remember what I said back to him. Needless to say, I have very cute hair...and I don't match his cats!

Wyatt always tells the same Knock Knock joke.

knock knock
who's there?
Panther
Panther who?
Panther no pants I'm going swimming!

Now Natalia says it! except she can't get the last line, so she just jabbers who-knows-what...it is the funniest knock knock joke I've ever heard! We all laugh so hard!

I was rocking her tonight, she was having a hard time going to sleep. I went to put her in her bed, and started to cry. I said "Talia, you have to get in your bed and go to sleep, and mommy has to go do the dishes." She looked at me and said "dishes" with a little nod, and then leaned toward her bed so I would put her in it. That was it...she went to sleep!

We are planning a really fun weekend for our anniversary! =) We are staying here, but doing something "big" everyday.

Pictures

Not a lot going on here. Here are a few pictures.

Wyatt playing in the dirt.

Wyatt climbing a rock.
Natalia is so silly! After she was done climbing the arch...she clapped her and hands and said "I did it."

When it is humid (it always is)...Talia gets these little wings above her ears. Atleast it makes her look like she has SOME hair!

A long weekend

We had such a nice 4th of July weekend.

Saturday...We went out to breakfast with friends. The we all went swimming, and Talia hated it. She cried and cried, so I wrapped her in a towel and sat on a chair. She had a fever and she fell asleep on my lap at the pool. We all went home and she took a four and a half hour nap! Her fever went down, and we decided to go to a fireworks show. Wyatt hated it. He kept his fingers in his ears the entire time, and wanted to go home. =) We were with our friends Andrew and Kirsten, and they love Wyatt...they always like to ask him questions to see what he says. Kirsten said "Wyatt, what day is it today?"

Wyatt said "Mom, will you tell Kirsten what day it is today?"

Sunday....Church. I had to help in Wyatt's class. He was really good, but his class is wild. I can see why they always need a helper.

Monday...Lincoln and Wyatt went to a car show. Wyatt loved the mustangs. Then we all drove up to Westminster and ate at the Texas Roadhouse. Yum! Wyatt keeps asking to eat at the restaurant that you can throw peanuts on the ground now.

Tuesday... Wyatt woke up at 3:00 a.m. with a 103 degree fever. He didn't sleep very good the rest of the night, so that means neither did I. In The morning, Lincoln put in seatbelts in his car. (To bad in wasn't an AC) =) Then we went to lunch at Red Robin. They brought all of our food, except they forgot to make Wyatt's spaghetti. He was so bummed. They still took quite a while to bring it to him. The manager came to apologize, and asked me if he would like a free sundae. Lincoln leaned over and told him that they were really sorry they were so slow bringing his spaghetti, and they wanted to bring him an icecream sundae to make it up to him. Wyatt said "Are they going to make it QUICK?"

We had a BBQ over here that evening with Andrew and Kirsten. Lincoln went to light the grill and we were OUT of propane! You can't get your propane filled at 5:30 on the fourth of July! We had to go borrow Andrew's tank. We had hamburgers and veggie kabobs, and later we had grilled pineapple and we sat in the hot tub. It was a nice day. Oh ya, we didn't go to any fireworks.....the kids were too tired, and no one really cared since we had seen a show on Saturday.

A second Mother's Day

I have a friend that had a baby close to Mother's day, and because of all the new baby craziness...her mother's day was postponed. Her husband sent her go get a pedicure and she called me to go with her! So I got to enjoy two mother's days. I went to a baby shower that morning (for the baby mentioned above) and in the evening we got a sitter, and went to dinner and a movie. What a fun day!

Wyatt is taking swimming lessons at our gym. His teacher is so good! Wyatt is so brave with her, and never hesitates when she asks him to do something. He never stops smiling (or hopping, jumping, and wiggling) while he is in the water.

Natalia goes into "playland" while I watch Wyatt swim. She does well in there, and hugs me goodbye without tears when I drop her off.

Lincoln has been working on his car. He broke down, and I had to tow him home. That was a joy! He had to replace the waterpump, and some other stuff. He is getting really good and fixing this car.

I will take pictures of Wyatt at swimming lessons and post them. (did it) =)
