Welcome Home Simone!

Nine days in the NICU.
She got to come home today. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to have her sleeping in her bassinet upstairs!

Today was the first time Wyatt got to see her. He had scarlet fever, and couldn't come into the NICU. The kids adore her. Wyatt is a little shy and doesn't want to hold her very long. He rubs her head and kisses it. Natalia wants to hold her ALL the time. She isn't very gentle with her, and I will have to keep a close eye on that big sister.
Simone kept having "desats" at the hospital. This means she would forget to breath while she was eating. One day she began to turn blue. This is why they kept her in the NICU as long as they did. I got to nurse her twice today, and she is doing so well. I am so surprised. We have to take her to her pediatrician in the morning to see if she is gaining weight. She lost a little yesterday, and they want to make sure she doesn't continue to do so.
Ahhh! To hold her with out wires and cords is DIVINE!
It was such a rainy day. For my photog friends- I was shooting at 1.4, because there was no light! Not good when there are three kids. I am planning a photo shoot tomorrow. I can't wait, and it had better be sunny! =)
Lincoln got me the cutest necklace ever. Yes, I picked it out, and added it to his favorites on his lap top.....but he did buy it after Simone was born. Here it is....I love it.

Thanks for posting and telling us friends what is going on with you and your little angel. I am so glad and relieved to hear that she is home, that's WONDERFUL! With no wires! Ah! The simple joys.
As for the pictures you posted with the post, I couldn't see them. When the page was fully loaded they weren't there. :( I look forward to seeing what you get in your photo shoot tomorrow. I've taking loads of pics out here in Utah and really need to post some.
I am so happy for you and your family.
Oh, that picture with the 3 of them makes it all so real! She is so wonderful and pink, and tiny. Thank you for sharing her tonight
Yeah! Welcome home Simone! Sounds like she will be well loved by her big brother and sister! So glad she is doing well! I love the necklace...so sweet! I couldn't view the top two pictures either...I'll have to reload the page and see if that does the trick. Have a good night!

Jeri - We aren't getting the picture yet here in Utah either.
Glad you are doing good! I think it would be really scary to have such a tiny baby--I would always feel like I might bust her.
I tried to click on the picture of the yellow envelope with a 3 on it, but i just got the same picture. Then I figued out that it WAS the necklace. Aha - tres!
