A name and a blessing

Today Lincoln blessed Simone at church. It was a perfect blessing. Lincoln is so in tune with the promptings of the spirit, and her blessing was so sweet. He asked a few of our dear friends to assist with the blessing. It was so nice to see those worthy priesthood holders gathered around our sweet baby girl.


I talked with Marie (my friend who made the dress.) and she has had so some much pain because of nerve damage in her neck and lower back. She was so excited to make the dress, she told me she wanted to make it the day I told her I was expecting! The pain was so bad in her shoulder she asked her doctor for some "help" so she could finish the dress, so he gave her a cortisone shot last week. It makes me so grateful and teary eyed to see Simone in this dress. Marie said she was so happy to be able to do something for me for a change. =) Simone and I got to visit her for a few hours yesterday. Simone loved being in her arms. I need to get a picture of the two of them together. It always amazes me that the because of the gospel a woman from Haiti and a girl from Utah, who couldn't be more different, can be true friends.
