quick photo post.....
Mom my checks my blog everyday....so I will do a quick post just for her! =)
I took Natalia out to catch butterflies. Just kidding, I told her that so I could take pictures. We saw 3 little purple butterflies, lots of white, and 2 yellow. She was so excited, but sad because she couldn't catch them. I need to get her a net.
For the photo above I finally yelled at her, "Natalia just LOOK at me!!!!"

Little Simone. We have a had a hard week. I really thought the Zantac was making a difference. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday last week were AMAZING!!! I can't believe the changes. She was cooing, and smiling, we had feedings that were so sweet ( that it makes me want to cry), and it was heaven. This week hasn't been so great. Yesterday was horrible. Five meltdowns, to the point that is was impossible to calm her. Today was a little better, so I have my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be great.
I picked up Simone, and turned around to see Natalia prepping her babydoll for a photo shoot. She did this for quite a long time, so I was able to sneak my camera out and capture her in action. When you push the shutter on her cindrella "camera" it says, "You smile just like a princess." Too funny!

Don't you love that dress....I think she looks so cute it it.

My boy! I have loved having him home all day for the summer. He is such a joy!

You are so sneaky about the butterflies! The pictures are great! Especially the one with her arms reaching out!
Wyatt looks so grown up! He's so handsome! Can you believe you have a FIRST grader on your hands?
I hope you post many more happy day pictures of Simone in the coming weeks. I hope things keep looking up for her. She is really growing up! It has been so much fun to see her changing with each picture over the past months. I love that smile!
Talia the photographer is adorable! I think you have a cute little shadow, Jeri!
Too cute about Natalia. Simone looks lovely when she smiles. I've finally gotten some smiles out of Janey! Oh it makes for happy times.
I am sorry about those hard days! Jefferson was so crazy like that. I remember that I would sit on the toilet seat with the bath going full blast in order to calm him down enough to feed him. Ugh. Nothing worse than a frantic, uncalmable baby.
Speaking of regression, there I was thinking that I have been so good avoiding dairy all these weeks, and Janey had a really bad night last night again. I think all the soy and fiber I'm eating gives her just as much of an upset tummy as the dairy! What is the point?
The pictures are just darling.
I am sorry things have been hard with this baby. Let me know if you need a break, I would love to come hold your baby.
Simone's smile is adorable. My little guy is smiling more and more, and it is one of my favorite things! I might have to try the "catching butterflys" idea for my little one's second birthday shoot.
Oh Jeri,
So sorry to hear Simone is still refluxing. I spend many nights holding Maren upright in a chair instead of sleeping. It must be so hard when you can't console her. Is she taking Reglan too? The two meds in combo are much more effective. Hope that helps.
Your kids are so beautiful, Lincoln is right you are an excellent photographer! I wish you the best of luck with Simone, i have had two relux babies and it is so rough, especialy with the nasty Zantac ,it always took Tink about 3 weeks or so to tell if medicine was working or not, and even then we were alway adjusting for weight gain so give it some time. Also have you tried the refux wedge they use it to sleep? I used it for Jaxson, my second one and it worked great (for Tink I had to just sleep sitting up holding her upright) I would not advise that on as I was a zoombie for about a year. I hope she settles down for you! Dont listen when your doctors say most kids grow out of it by 6 months..Tink was 24 months and Jaxson still has it, but it gets better with solids less vomit! By the way I am Emilie, Lincolns cousin (uncle bryans oldest daughter) and we saw him about a month ago and he told us about you blog!!!I have an almost 3 year old little girl (tameryn) and a 14 month old Jaxson
who was also 6 weeks early like your Simone....anyways love your blog wish you didnt live on the other side of the US.
Love that picture of Simone smiling. Too darling. So glad to hear that you are enjoying having all 3 home. Sorry about simone being sad. I hope she comes around soon for you, just hold on to those moments of bliss.
i hope simone's doing better this week! i'm so sorry. beautiful pictures as always.
