On the move..

Yesterday was another emotionally exhausting day. I tried an outfit on Simone, it was too big. I took it off, and as I was putting it back in the closet she was whining on the changing table. It is not really a table, it is a changing dresser. I was still standing in front of the dresser, but leaning over the corner reaching into the closet. I looked down to see Simone hanging OFF the dresser. She was on her way to the ground head first. I slammed my hand down on to her hips and caught her against the corner of the dresser. I can not believe she didn't fall. I CAN NOT believe she didn't fall. She was digging her heels down and pushing back, and very quickly- I just didn't notice. I held her and cried. I was a mess the rest of the day....like an emotional zombie. I just held my kids and did nothing. I told Lincoln and he said, "Why aren't you happy? You CAUGHT her." I guess that is looking on the bright side. She is now at the age where I will have to strap her in if I set her down anywhere.

Isn't she pretty? I love her smiles.

Wyatt and Cy. Wyatt is getting so big lately. Everytime he walks in the room I say, "Who are you? Get out of here. Go get my little boy Wyatt and send him in here." He laughs and I always get a hug.

After a Sunday nap.

Natalia loves to hold her. She does it very well....and so often.

Absolutely breathtaking pictures, Jeri. I mean it, too!!! I love the first one of Simone, and Talia looks like she did just wake up from her nap, how cute!

I read your anniversary post, congrats btw! Jansen's Dad past away several years ago and recently when his Mom came to help with the baby she said that she was complaining to him when he was sick that his drawer was always so messy and she was tired of cleaning it and he jokingly said there would come a day when she wished that she had a drawer of his to clean. She said that she would give anything to clean that drawer again and have him here. It puts things in perspective for sure Ü

I totally would have reacted the same way you did about Simone's almost fall. I would have been a disaster. But you saved her!!

Big old sigh of relief! What a blessing you were so quick on the draw! I absolutely love the pictures! Wyatt looks so grown up! Where is that chubby two-year-old we remember? Thank goodness for blogs!

I like that Lincoln reminded you that it DID turn out okay. Sometimes I need Clint to do that for me too :)

Also, I play that game with Xavey a lot, where I ask him to promise me to stay little forever. It's so endearing that every time he tells me that he just can't :)

Oh those eyes are GORGEOUS! Pictures are FAB as usual. I play that same game with my boys about getting big, and then I have to play it for a really really long time (but I cry and grab them and say "NOOOOO!!! I want my BABY back!!!" and things. So I'm asking for it.

As for the falling and being a basketcase, yes. I think a large amount of hormone was released during that superman catch! I personally had a rough day yesterday because my poor baby was screaming in pain because I ate dumb things. So silly.

Beautiful pictures of very beautiful children. I love looking at your pictures.

Very scary with Simone. Lincoln does not realize, that we mothers relive what could have happened in our nightmares, over and over. Great job on stopping the what if.
