Seventeen...
Well, I was called "a kidney stone makin' machine" today by my urologist.
I have my ct scans. I can count 17 stones in one image. SEVENTEEN STONES! Some of them are HUGE. I have to get an xray done to get the final count on the stones, but there will most likely be more than the 17 I counted today.
A bit of bliss:
I was giving Simone a bath, and my little shadow (the blond one) was helping. Natalia is my greatest helper. She gets the washcloth from the drawer, lays the towel out, and washes Simone's belly during all her baths. Today Talia was dumping water on my arm and then it would spill on to Simone. Both of my girls got the giggles. It was so funny. We all kept laughing, until I had tears in my eyes and my cheeks hurt from smiling. The little giggles from Simone kept us all in stitches for a long time. Gasping for breath Talia said, "I guess I got the giggles out." Oh, bliss at its best!

6 months
Simone is six months old. She weighs 12 pounds 12 ounces, and is longer. I can't remember her length! =) Good thing I have it written down in her baby book.

She is such a noisy thing, especially during priesthood when Daddy is trying to listen. I took the kids to Back to School Night and someone said, "I can't hear!" behind me. Simone was just talking and screaming happily. Oops sorry. Who complains about a happy baby anyway? =)
She loves to chew on her hands, and her toys.
She hates rice cereal. I don't remember my other two gagging so hard on rice cereal. I hope it stops.
She loves the bath.
If I pin her legs down in the tub she does sit ups. (She lays on a foamy incline.) It is the funniest thing.
She loves the sound of my shutter on my camera. She would laugh every time I pushed the shutter on the pictures below. I just keep pushing, she was being so cute!

Rainbow
The light was absolutely glowing outside, so I asked Lincoln if he would come out and hold up Simone so I could take her picture. A big storm had just passed, and we looked up to see a beautiful rainbow. It was so big, and so bright. I ran inside to get my wide angle lens, and by the time I came back out it was starting to rain and get very dark...so I didn't get much. I haven't seen a rainbow in a long time.

We are healthy. I am still feeling a bit sleep deprived, and Simone is not sleeping well at night anymore. We are happy though, and my house is CLEAN! What more could you ask for- health, happiness, and a clean house....we are set.
Natalia had her first day of preschool today, and her first day of ballet class. I don't have ballet pictures yet. I got her pink tights, a pink leotard, a black leotard, pink ballet slippers, and she picked out a cute dance bag. Her clothes cost as much as half of the entire class! =) It is so worth it! =) You should have seen her! I was impressed with her teacher, she had so much "fluff". They stretched with flowers in their hands, got to put big stickers on the floor to stand on, wore fairy wings and tutus, and had a ballet story. (Excuse me, I am paying you to READ to her? Just kidding.) I loved watching her, and I get to go back and photograph ALL the classes in a few weeks! I am so excited!
Oh, back to preschool. Natalia has two really good friends in her preschool class. She loved her class today, and keeps talking about it. She is fun to talk to about it, because she remembers everything that happens- UNLIKE her older brother. Wyatt doesn't tell me anything unless I ask a very specific question.

Here she is with her duck bag. I spent way to long working on this silly bag. My sewing machine went crazy when I was half done. I don't know what is wrong with it, but it probably something so simple that I would be embarrassed to pay someone to fix it. "Miss, This is on backwards. That will be $80."
Yes, Hello Kitty is holding a camera. Yes, I picked out this shirt. YES, she wanted to wear it! =)

Kitchen Ballerina
Wyatt had his first day of first grade. He went a whopping three days, and has been home ever since.
His tonsils are so large the doctor gasped and said, "OH MY GOSH WYATT!" She said she hadn't seen tonsils that big in a LONG time. They almost touch each other, and are covered in pus. Great. His quick strep test was negative though, and so was Talia's. Talia was the one complaining about a sore throat though...Wyatt never even mentioned it. They still have fevers, and tonight the coughing has started. Talia already threw up from coughing so hard.
Simone has an ear infection. We have had two really hard nights, and now that she is on antibiotics I hope tonight is better. (She weighs 13 pounds now.)
A mystery small kidney stone showed up. Huh? My back hurt last week. Maybe that is when this one left my kidney. Fun times. =)
A funny story- I was doing ballet in the kitchen. Our table is the perfect height for a barre. I have an entire ballet class cd on my ipod. I can't get through a whole class, because I am usually cooking, or have to do tendus with a baby in my arms. Tonight was a little different because I was telling Talia everything I was doing. She is starting a ballet class next week, and I am so excited!!! She is too, but I am more excited than she is. (She'll probably hate it. =)
She'll run to the ipod when a piece of music ends, and look to see what is next. I do the same thing, and I will say "Oh now it's glissades." She always makes up a crazy word. Today Talia said "Oh, now you get to do Kung Fu."
Back to the story, I was doing jumps in first position, and would have her watch my feet as they would come off the floor. I was telling her how I land toe-ball-heel, and that I can land very quietly that way. I would jump, and say look at how I point every time I get into the air. Jump Jump Jump. Then Talia said, "There he is! There HE is!", and pointed at a mosquito buzzing around my jumping feet. We tried smashing him a few minutes prior, but he got away.
"You got him!"
Jump-- Jump
What? I glanced down. There were two spots of blood on my wood floor.
"NO WAY!" I shouted, and I lifted my heel to see a black mosquito smashed on the bottom of my heel.
Wyatt died laughing. We all did, as I washed my foot off in the kitchen sink. I don't think that story is that funny unless you were there to see it. My children will never forget it, and every time I see a mosquito I will start jumping in first position- it will surely get a laugh from them.
