bobbing for apples

so i dropped my iphone in the toilet.
clean water in case you wondered.
i yelled, "NO!"
but it was so quietly that my children didn't wake up.
I grabbed it out.
tried not to cry. (it's only a phone)
"but it was my birtday present" (say that like the bunny on Robin Hood.)
turned it off.
watched the screen fizzle to black.
asked lincoln if he purchased insurance.
tried not to cry.
this morning lincoln was too curious, and turned it on.
it works.
i turned it off, to give it more time to dry.
please oh please.

crossing my fingers for ya!!!
I dropped mine into dish water not long ago, and didn't know it. I was wondering through a FULL load of washing dishes, why there was a bubbling come up from something. I had no idea it was my phone!!!!! it made it through with flying colors. that was about 5-7 minutes of being submerged... so there is hope!
*crossing fingers*
LOL! Sorry, I know it's not funny, and I DO wish you and your phone the best of luck, but I can't get past the fact that someone else may have watched Robin Hood as many times as I did growing up. I recite lines from that movie to my kids all the time, not even thinking about it and they just look at me funny. One of my favorites, and I don't know why, is "snakes don't walk, they slither, so there" (said with a British accent of course). Anyway, don't mean to take up the comments section of your blog, cause I totally could on the Robin Hood topic. =)
take the battery out and don't touch it for two days. I have done this before. If you turn it on too quickly it will short circuit. Good Luck!
Oh no! I hope it still works for you! I don't have any iPhone-saving tricks to share. I put Travis' iPod shuffle through the wash a couple of months ago. It was a gonner. I felt so bad.
I dropped mine in the grass by the mailbox, didn't find it until the next morning. I didn't know about letting it dry, and plugged it in to recharge. Shoulda known better - I fried my beautiful phone.
Now I'm on a stupid GO phone. I can't take pictures but I can recieve them - so send me some!
I seriously hate it when stuff like this happens. I hope it continues to work for you.
So glad it dried out. That would have really sucked!
