I have had a crazy day. Nothing really out of the ordinary but I am tired. The extra late nights are starting to get to me.
Simone had a tug of war with Talia except the "rope" was an empty lego bin. Simone lost and it hit her in the face. I was on the phone with the primary president trying piece back the puzzle that is left of our ward. (They realigned the ward boundaries in our stake last Sunday. I thought for sure we would be moved to another ward, but we weren't. I don't want to talk about a few of the changes. I will miss seeing some very dear friends in the hallways at church...luckily they are very dear friends and I will see them in my home...or at the mall...or at the park...or for holidays. On and on. Back to the story.) The lego bin smashed right into her nose, but I didn't realize this until my shirt, neck, and arm were spotted with blood. The poor thing!
Then she was chasing Talia and tripped and fell flat on her face. She got the biggest fat lip with a cut. She fell asleep in her highchair after finishing a small part of her pb&j soon after that fall. Too tired to eat anything. What a hard day.
The other day she was sitting on the big potty, and leaned over...WAY over and fell off! Right on her head! My bad, I was getting some tp and wasn't looking. She is still going strong with the potty training thing. Kind of crazy.
So today......
Laundry
Proofing
phone calls for primary
Cleaning so the maid could clean
Maid calling to cancel because of car trouble
making cookies
made new job charts for the kids
trying to empty bins and get rid of junk
vacuum upstairs
photographing cookies
Phone calls with clients
Christmas card design and revisions
walking to the bus stop
Breaking up fights
supervising homework
taking pens away from Simone
putting Talia in timeout
Cooking dinner
dishes
Bath x 2, then x 1
Pajamas, teeth, and blow dry hair
stories, prayers, hugs and kisses
proofing
remembering that my sheets are still in the washing machine
proofing
Somehow I feel like I accomplished NOTHING today.

Hang in there...I think you are amazing. Your cute Simone is one tough cookie!
Uh, those days are the craziest... I am so glad you wrote it down as a nice long list so that you can see that you DID do something today... a lot of somethings. :-) I feel like that nearly every day. Poor little Spumoni :-)
well at least they are pretty. I once read some where that it is irrational to try and get more than 7 things done in one day. Consider yourself a superhero.
I have to say, I love the cookie picture!! -what's it for?
Once the kids faces are covered in bruses and cuts it usually calms down-I always think bad things happen in threes-here *good luck thought* coming your way:)
I LOVE THAT YOUR ME!
I love that I can relate to you and that you don't think Im crazy, or i don't think your crazy...or...maybe we really are both crazy?
I love the picture of the tower of cookes!
you are such a MOM! The pure idenification of a sweet busy mother, fullfilling 90 jobs she loves...
you need a message after Novemeber is over my dear! and ice cream! and NEW PAIR OF SHOES....you have worked hard!
Thanks Jeri, for making me feel "normal" because I often wondered on days like these. =)
It sounds like a crazy day. I've had days when Jane gets beat up somehow (falling off tables and couches and bonked by doors, etc.) and is covered with bruises at the end. It always seems to be the days that I have a million things to do.
Sorry about the ward. It would be hard. I'm glad I was gone for it.
I know we aren't super close (20 minutes), but Simone could play with us anytime if you need editing quiet time.
that simone. she must be the 3rd child. they seem to get banged up more than the first two. at least, ours does.
and i'm in a bit of denial about the ward changes myself. sniff.
What color shoes do you want? This is craziness! Wow... the things i miss while I'm at work. Love you babe, hang in there - you're great.
We have all been there... today is one of those day! HUGS!
Yeah. I'm late, but I just made a post with a similar list :)
